Happy Friday!

The end of the week is upon us, and the weekend stretches forth in front of us. I have a wedding this Saturday for the lovely Tiffany Stevens at the Allied Arts Guild in Menlo Park, and clients at the salon both days, too.

I am looking forward to next week, as it begins my 5 days off, and I can’t wait to sleep in, lay out by the pool, read for hours on end, and see friends. I usually plan out my days and weeks into minute detail, but I think I will just go with the flow for this one, and only have a few things planned so I can actually enjoy my time off, rather than need more immediately after to recuperate from hectic planning.  I say this now, but we shall see what comes to pass when my days off are here, as my overly organized nature is very hard to fight!

Vanessa is wedding ready!

Vanessa is a beautiful and intelligent woman whom I met when Lux gave me the privilege of styling her bridal party’s hair on her wedding day. Vanessa and I clicked at her trial a few months back and I was very excited for Memorial day weekend to roll around so I could finally get my hands on her lovely locks and the hair of her bridal party. Vanessa and I decided to use clip in hair extensions to give her voluminous hair and make her feel like a hair model as well as a princess on her wedding day. I love using clip in extensions on my brides who want to wear their hair half up or all down. It really gives their hair that Hollywood glamor that so many women want when they bring in the photos of movie stars with thick luscious hair down to there. So without further ado, here are my point-and-shoot pictures from the wedding day. *I say this because I am DYING for a new camera that gives me amazing quality photos, and I finally found one that is WAY outside my price range so I have to save up and wait a bit to get it*

This is Vanessa, is she not absolutely adorable?! What a great glowing bride. She was a joy 🙂

Bridesmaid Elyse

Sister-in-law and bridesmaid Shannon

and youngest sister Raquel

There were more bridesmaids, but I didn’t have the pleasure of styling their hair, so I didn’t get their photos 🙂

I’m in love….with this wedding!

I love everything about this wedding. The bride and groom are stunning, the vintage details are charming, the photography is freaking amazing, and the bride’s hair is gorgeous! I had no part in this wedding, but I love it so much I had to share. You can check out the rest of Ashley’s photography work at her blog and website.

I am positively gushing with love for this wedding, it is breaking my heart with its beauty. Go check it out for yourself and let me know how you feel about it! Everyone has different styles and I want to hear how this makes you feel, good and bad!

Alanna is married!

This past weekend I had the pleasure of styling hair for Alanna’s wedding at the Dolce Hayes Mansion, which is a beautiful hotel in South San Jose. Alanna is a super sweet woman who was referred to me by my friend/trainer/rockstar/inspiration Tiffany. Alanna, her maid of honor, and her flower girl Kaylee all wanted down curly waves, with a little bit pinned up. I couldn’t believe how calm and relaxed Alanna was! She was mellow and happy, not worried about anything, and just went with the flow of the day. It was a nice way for me to spend my day, not being rushed and dealing with a freaked out wedding party. Here are some snapshots I took after the girls were all done up. I hope I will get some professional photos later on, which is my hope for all of the weddings I do, so if you are a bride of mine, send me pictures! First is the lovely Bride Alanna, then maid of honor, and finally the flower girl Kaylee.
